Organic and regional cultivation of Hamamelis virginiana, that is our vision of Hamelis. We are a pioneer in the cultivation of witch hazel as a medicinal plant in Germany! The local production of herbal raw materials preserves the trees in their natural habitat and significantly shortens transport distances. Our plants grow under controlled biological conditions on living soil in a thick layer of organic material. This provides the roots with sufficient nutrients and binds a lot of CO2. The witch hazel thanks us with health and a rich harvest, without any chemical pesticides. In addition, we offset the CO2 footprint of our products through renaturation projects. Because we have understood that we have to give something back to nature so that it will continue to provide us with valuable ingredients in the future.
